Six Years Smitten
Marissa Saneholtz and Sara Brown, co-founders of the Smitten Forum residency project, collaborate with form & concept gallery on this dynamic symposium and group exhibition in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Unfolding on the final weekend of July 2019, the event series will unite over 70 makers who have participated in Smitten Forum, along with an international creative community that surrounds them.The Bench: Southwest Makers Symposium features lectures, demonstrations, and workshops by prominent names in the field of jewelry and metalsmithing. Six Years Smitten, a cumulative exhibition at form & concept that opens in conjunction with The Bench, spotlights new work by past participants of Smitten Forum.
Smitten Forum 2016 exhibition was installed at the UWM Arts Center Gallery in the Theatre Building for the Zoom Symposium held May 25-29, 2016 in Milwaukee, WI.
The Smitten Forum 2015 exhibition was on display at the Greenville Museum of Art January 15th-18th, 2016 in conjunction with ECU Metals Symposium.
Smitten Forum 2015 was a “pop-up” exhibition that was held at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel in conjunction with the SNAG Conference’s Adorned Spaces. The work was on display for on day, May 22, 2015, from 10am until 10pm. A big thank you for Ben Dory and Arthur Hash for doing the leg work and making the displays.
Smitten Forum: the Exhibition was held at the Greenville Museum of Art in Greenville, NC in conjunction with East Carolina University Material Topics Symposium: Crafting Connections. The work was on display January 16-18 2015. The artists who had work on display were participants in the Smitten Forum 2014: Michael Dale Bernard, Nisa Blackmon, Sara Brown, Jim Charles, Kat Cole, Bob Ebendorf, Christopher A. Hentz, Mi-Sook Hur, Nicole Jacquard, Andrew Kuebeck, Zachery Lechtenberg, Barbara McFadyen, Barbara Minor, Mary Hallam Pearse, Marissa Saneholtz, Marlene True and Laura Wood.
